With many fans of the Resident Evil franchise being disappointed with Capcom’s recent Resident Evil 6, it seems that fans of the franchise have something to look forward to.

Thanks to the German website AreaGames, we have received the first gameplay footage of the HD remake of the popular Resident Evil: Revelations. Resident Evil: Revelations was originally released in January of 2012 as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive.

Capcom has later come out and announced that the game will be receiving a port for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows PC. The game will be available for the PS3 and PC digitally at the launch date, with the Xbox 360 and Wii U will have downloadable versions at a later date.

Capcom has come out an stated that Resident Evil: Revelations will not be coming out on the PS Vita, and the reasoning is that Capcom wants the game to retain the “Big Screen” feel rather than going back to just a hand held device.

Those interested in buying the game will be able to come May 21, 2013. At a price of $49.99, there has been a lot of speculation as to whether the price is too high for this ported game, and we will have to see how everything pans out when the game is finally released.

You can check out the video below for an extended look at the gameplay of this title, and perhaps decide for yourself if the game would be worth buying.
